Gregory ‘Greg' A. Shire

Age 22, of Owosso, passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2007.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at First Church of Christ, with Pastor Chris Higgins officiating. The family will receive friends at Nelson-House Funeral Home on Saturday from noon to 8 p.m.

Greg was born May 5, 1985, in Owosso, the son of Brian K. and Cindy (Ochodnicky) Shire. He graduated from Corunna High School. He also attended UTI, studying auto body and paint.

Greg enjoyed bow hunting, fishing and skateboarding. He loved music, especially playing the guitar, and he had a real passion for cars.

Survivors include: his parents, Brian and Cindy Shire; brother, Zackary; grandfather, Robert Ochodnicky; aunts and uncles, Bobby Ochodnicky, David (Dawn) Ochodnicky, Jeff (Shelly) Ochodnicky, Sue Shire, Jeff (Char) Shire, Mike (Janice) Shire, Pam (Richard) Hurrell; special cousin, Rob Ochodnicky; and several loving family members and friends.

He was predeceased by: his grandmother and grandfather Shire; and grandmother Ochodnicky.

The family's wishes are to have memorial contributions to an educational fund for his brother, Zackary, in lieu of flowers.
