OWOSSO - The Argus-Press will sponsor a candidate debate Oct. 29 at the Owosso Middle School.
The event will feature 31 candidates from 15 races and will give the public a chance to quiz their potential politicians during a formal question-and-answer discussion.
The event, which is free and open to the public, begins at 6 p.m. at the Cournyer Auditorium in Owosso Middle School, 219 N. Water St., Owosso.
Questions from the public can be submitted at the event. Michigan State University doctoral candidate and instructor Jason Friedman will act as the evening's moderator. Questions can be e-mailed or dropped off to The Argus-Press. Local media also will ask the candidates questions. Each candidate will have equal time to answer questions.

1. Is it true that your campain is being funded by former sheriff LaJoye? Is it true that he will recieve business contracts from you.
2. If you are concerned about this county why haven't you participated in any orginizations that support people in this county?
3. Is it true that you received treatment in a hospital for mental stress after loosing the last election? "
