Morrice man killed in crash

LANSING TWP. - An 82-year-old Morrice man was killed about 1:30 p.m. Monday in a car crash near the Frandor shopping center.

Calvin Drake, who also had two passengers in his vehicle, was traveling west on H.A. Sellers Avenue when he hit a 35-year-old Lansing man, who was northbound on North Homer Street. The Lansing man was alone in his vehicle.

The passengers in the victim's vehicle sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

The Lansing Township Police Department is still investigating the crash, but officials said alcohol does not appear to be a factor.
