Johnathan Rand, author of “Michigan Chillers,” “American Chillers” and “Freddie Fernortner” spoke to 550 students Friday during a visit to Owosso’s Emerson Elementary. He told students they could visit anywhere just by opening the “door” to a book. The author also said they could also write their own book by picking up a “magic wand” (pencil) and putting the wand to paper.
