Rebuilding of Lebowsky Center kicks off with groundbreaking ceremony

OWOSSO — Linda Keenan didn’t know when she and her volunteers would make it to this point. But now that the Owosso Community Players are on the verge of rebuilding the burned-out Lebowsky Theater, she is overjoyed.

Keenan and about four dozen other community members celebrated the future of the performing arts in Owosso, when organizers officially kicked off the rebuilding of the fire-gutted Lebowsky Center with a ceremony held inside the theater’s ruins Wednesday.
