The newly formed Durand Area Coop Clubs (DACC) presented a $2,700 check to Rev. Bill Marsh of Loaves And Fishes recently. Marsh is the current coordinator of the food bank located in the village of Vernon. The group’s goal is to provide pantry items to those in the area that are struggling to feed their families. According to the coop clubs group, Brad Thorsby is a local grocery store owner who has always been generous to service clubs when they are planning fundraisers that bring the community together. Because of his past efforts,  the clubs and organizations that Thorsby assists formed the group to honor him by raising funds for his favorite charity. The DACC includes Durand Eagles, Auxiliary and Riders, Durand Union Station (DUSI), Durand AMVETS and its auxiliary, AMVET Sons and  Riders, Durand VFW and its auxiliary, Friends of Byron Fireworks, Durand Lions, Durand Lioness clubs, the Durand Moose and the Durand Rotary Club.
