Nearly $3 million bond in Perry focuses on technology, energy

PERRY — Voters in the Perry Public School District approved a bonding proposal during a special election Tuesday for up to  $2,990,000 to fund a series of school improvements focused on energy conservation and improving technology.

Of those who voted, 518 people, or 59.88 percent, opted in favor of the proposal; 347, or 40.12 percent, voted not to extend the current millage rate for an additional three years.
