OWOSSO — Come in a customer and leave a friend. That’s the motto of the newly-opened King’s Auto Detailing in downtown Owosso.

“We offer anything,” said owner Kevin King, an Owosso resident. “We specialize in detailing, whether that’s cleaning your car inside out or if John Doe comes in and wants his car washed and waxed, we’ll do that.”

Tuesday marked the last day of school this week for Owosso students and they ended the day with a fundraising celebration. In September, Emerson Elementary Principal Terry Sedlar challenged the students to raise $10,000. By the end of the fundraiser the students had raised more than $12,000. As a reward, Sedlar gave the top fundraisers the opportunity to squirt ketchup and mustard on him. Camden Yerrick, left, and Adam Jones are seen seasoning Sedlar. Alaina Butte was the winner of a 32-inch TV donated by Premier Rental.
