Detroit Lions to visit LHS

LAINGSBURG — Laingsburg High School is slated as one of the sites for the Detroit Lions’ youth football camps this summer.

On July 26, the Lions will come to the LHS campus to teach fundamental skills to kids ages 6-14. The participation limit is 70 to keep the instruction focused and the cost is $95 for the day.

LAWRENCE SIGNS WITH ALMA

Lawrence made The Argus-Press All-Area first team this past fall while racking up 36 tackles with one interception for coach Dave Richardson’s Eagles. Lawrence, the son of Amy and John Lawrence, plans to major in biology. “I loved the facilities, the people and the coaches at Alma College and they make you feel you’re a part of their family,” Lawrence said.
