SAULT STE. MARIE — Olivia Hohman and Caitlyn Kane were chosen to serve as honor ushers for the 2019 commencement exercises at Lake Superior State University April 27.

Hohman is a biochemistry/preprofessional major from Perry, Kane, from Laingsburg, studies criminal justice with a homeland security concentration. Both are juniors.

LSSU honor ushers are selected on the basis of academic merit. They are juniors or seniors with minimum GPA of 3.5 out of 4.0. As honor ushers, Hohman and Kane assisted with the graduation ceremony by acting as a greeter, usher, or guide to VIPs.

They received special mention in the LSSU commencement program.
