OWOSSO — The Shiawassee Arts Center (SAC) this summer is hosting a of youth art adventures this summer.

Nature Art Adventures at DeVries Nature Conservancy includes activities like making clay toad abodes, nesting with wool, and going on daily hikes.

Art Around the World in three Days at SAC explores art and culture from regions and countries around the world. Young artists will create projects such as Egyptian canopic clay jars and Chinese hanging scrolls constructed from their own watercolor paintings on rice paper.

Nature Art Adventures is from 1 to 5 p.m. June 18 to 20 for fourth- to eighth-graders.

Art Around the World is from 1 to 5 p.m. June 25 to 27 for kindergartners to third grade and 1 to 5 p.m. July 9 to 11 for fourth- to eighth-graders.

Each camp is $70 for SAC members and $80 for non-members. Sign-up can be completed in person, online or over the phone.
