OWOSSO — Stronghold Quartet will sing at 10:45 a.m. Sunday at Bethel Evangelical Free Church, 1562 N. Hickory St.

Stronghold members Don and Dennis Byers, and sound man Dan Dodd grew up in Owosso, graduated from Owosso High School and attended the First Church of the Nazarene.

The group also includes baritone Jim Kitchen and bass singer Bill Neathamer. Since the group’s formation in 2005, Stronghold has sung in numerous Owosso-area churches, although the group now regards the Howell/ Fowlerville area as “home.”

The Owosso appearance will feature the release of Stronghold’s seventh CD, “Freedom.” Like earlier CDs, “Freedom” includes both classic Southern gospel songs and popular contemporary gospel songs such as “Chain Breaker” and “Somebody’s Miracle.”

In what has become a SUMMERPraise! tradition, Stronghold will conclude the summer Amphitheater season Aug. 11.

More information will be released with the full lineup that starts July 7 and includes Three Bridges, The Nelons, Justified, Rob Mills and The Sound and a final Owosso appearance of The Calvarymen.
