Owosso High School Drama Club competed at Holland High School Saturday, performing “AND” by Alan Haehnel at the Michigan Interscholastic Forensics Association theater regional. The club chose Haehnel’s play because of its subject matter. “And” is a short play that takes a look into the life of Aaron and how he copes with a secret as other events occur. Owosso earned awards in excellence for its display and program and superior awards for student directing, ensemble acting, vocal arrangement, lighting and sound design and stage movement and Autumn Weir’s award for superior acting. The club earned three 1s, took first place and advanced to state competition at Woodhaven High School this Saturday. There will be a home performance of “And” at the Owosso High School Auditorium at 7 p.m. Thursday. Tickets are $5 at the door. The play is directed by student Wes LaVigne. The club adviser is Jerry Ciarlino.
