PERRY — PNC Bank is closing June 21, leaving the city with no other banking options.
PNC bank, 150 S. Main St., is consolidating with the PNC Bank-Meridian branch, 2128 W. Grand River Ave. in Okemos, Perry PNC branch manager Jodi Dunn said Wednesday.
Customers of the bank have been notified by letter, she said.
A PNC Bank branch has been located in Perry for many years; there are no other banks in the city, a city official said Wednesday.
The reason for the consolidation of the branches has not been disclosed. However, Dunn noted “people are definitely doing more banking online.”
The Argus-Press did not receive a return call from the PNC Bank headquarters in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Wednesday.
