MSP: Durand Valero store robbed

DURAND — The Michigan State Police Wednesday announced that the Valero Gas Station, 8982 E. Lansing Road, was robbed at approximately 3:30 a.m. May 15.

The suspect was armed with a weapon and fled the store with an undetermined amount of money.

According to the press release, the suspect entered the store alone and walked to a back office where the night clerk was confronted with a weapon.

The suspect forced the clerk to walk to the cash register and demanded the register to be opened.

The suspect stole money from the register and then fled on foot.

The suspect was wearing pants, boots, a hood and gloves. The suspect’s face was covered. The suspect is estimated to be approximately 5 feet, 7 inches tall with a thin build.

The MSP is asking for the public to try to identify anything about the suspect. Anyone with information is encouraged to either contact Crime Stoppers of Mid-Michigan at (800) 840-7867, the Michigan State Police Flint Post at (810) 732-1111 or Det. Sgt. James Moore at (989) 415-0984.
