CHESANING — Ed Rehmann and Sons, 151 W. Broad St., is hosting a customer appreciation event in celebration of its 100th year in business.

Ric, Rob and Nancy Rehmann invite the public to the event from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. There will be food, soft drinks and prizes for guests.

“We are humbled to be part of Michigan history 100 years and counting,” the family said in a press release. “We have been fortunate to have incredible employees who believe in our grandparents’ vision of quality, service and dependability and to have loyal customers who continue to support our family-owned business.”

Ed and Eva Rehmann founded Ed Rehmann and Sons in 1919. In the 1950s, their three sons, Don, Rich and Al, took over the business and in 1985, their grandsons, Ric and Rob Rehmann and Rob’s wife Nancy, bought the store and operate it today. It is one of the oldest family-owned clothing stores in Michigan.
