CORUNNA — Starting June 1, the Community District Library is offering Launchpad Learning Tablets for checkout at all seven branches.

Launchpads are secure tablets designed for children and teens. They are preloaded with ad-free STEAM, language-learning, art and music apps selected by curriculum experts. Subject areas on the Launchpads meet widely recognized learning objectives, ranging from math and science to critical thinking and creativity.

Tablets don’t have WiFi or a camera.

The library purchased 50 learning tablets with grant funds from the Mid Eastern Michigan Library Cooperative. The full catalog of tablets is available at mycdl.org.

Community District Library has locations in Bancroft, Byron, Corunna, Lennon, Morrice, New Lothrop and Perry.
