Soulmate Giveaway

As a part of Giving Tuesday and #raiseUPshiawassee, a group of 19 nonprofits hosted the Find Your Non-Profit Soulmate event Nov. 19 at The Armory in Owosso. Attendees who signed up to volunteer had the opportunity to win a basket filled with goodies from many area Owosso businesses and organizations. Respite Volunteers of Shiawassee County was selected to draw a winner from the attendees they spoke with. The winner was the Builder’s Club of Owosso Middle School. Chris Bird, a teacher at Owosso Middle School, brought the Builder’s Club to the event to learn about more ways they can make an impact on Shiawassee County. Pictured are Helen Howard, executive director of Respite Volunteers, and Kim Renwick, executive director of Shiawassee Community Foundation, along with members of the Builder’s Club, and Bird.
