OWOSSO — In recognition of National Cancer Survivor Day, Memorial Healthcare will be hosting its annual cancer survivor day Thursday.

The free event will take place at Memorial’s Medical Arts Building, 721 N. Shiawassee St., from 1 to 3 p.m.

Activities will include an ice cream social, recognition ceremony, guest speakers, raffle, live music and more.

From family members to close friends, everyone knows someone whose life has been touched by cancer. A cancer survivor is anyone living with a history of cancer — from the moment of diagnosis through the remainder of life.

For more information, call Caitlin Freeman, Cancer Center Social Worker at (989) 729-4673.
