OWOSSO — Memorial Healthcare’s Community Wellness, Nutrition and Diabetes Center is hosting a Healthy Harvest event on Mondays for four weeks.

The sessions are from 1 to 2:30 p..m. starting April 8 at the Memorial Healthcare Community Wellness, Nutrition and Diabetes Center, Woodard Station (North Entrance), 317 S. Elm St., Suite 202.

The event is sponsored by Memorial Healthcare and the Michigan State University Extension and is free. Pre-registration is required. To reserve a space or for questions, call Memorial Healthcare at (989) 729-4700.

This class is a series for anyone interested in learning more about how to turn your interest in gardening into a source of nutrition and health. Participants learn to make healthy food choices and are encouraged to improve one’s health through nutrition and physical activity.

Classes include: Comparing recipes, replacing sodium with herbs, goal setting, and adding more vegetables into a diet.
