SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Williams-Sonoma Inc. (WSM) on Wednesday reported fiscal fourth-quarter earnings of $166 million.
On a per-share basis, the San Francisco-based company said it had profit of $2.10. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were $2.13 per share.
The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of 12 analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $2.05 per share.
The seller of cookware and home furnishings posted revenue of $1.84 billion in the period, also exceeding Street forecasts. Nine analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $1.82 billion.
For the year, the company reported profit of $356.1 million, or $4.49 per share. Revenue was reported as $5.9 billion.
Williams-Sonoma shares have decreased 58% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $30.67, a decrease of 46% in the last 12 months.
