ELSIE — The Elsie Free Fall Festival is this weekend from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
Money raised during the one-day event goes toward the Elsie Area Food Bank, which supports families in Elsie, Ovid, Ashley, Bannister, Chapin, Henderson, Carland and Shepardsville.
There also will be a trailer parked under the stoplight for non-perishable food donations.
Vendors will line the streets from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Cruisin’ For A Cause Car and Motorcycle Show, which currently has 70 registered contestants, will be on Main Street from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with DJ Jerry Winans.
This year’s festival also features many kids activities, including popcorn, sno cones and a book exchange sponsored by Creative Imaginations Preschool.
There will be clown vendor face painting from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Attendees are asked to bring food and canned items to trade for treats.
Music will be played throughout the day, with Mike Wagner from 11 a.m. to noon and Bob Hausler playing guitar and singing country music from noon to 1 p.m.
New events include Spinchronicity and cardio drumming.
The Elsie Area Fire Department is hosting a kid-friendly fire smoke house from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
