Age 84, of Owosso, passed away Friday, June 21, 2019, at McLaren-Flint.

A celebration of her life will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 13, at First Congregational Church, with the Rev. Deb Grazier officiating. A luncheon will follow. The family will receive friends at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

Louise was born in Goodrich, the daughter of Rolland and Grace (Thompson) Titsworth. She graduated from Goodrich High School and earned her Master’s Degree from Michigan State University.

Kenneth and Louise married in Flint, in June of 1954, and recently celebrated 65 wonderful years together. Louise enjoyed a career as a teacher and guidance counselor at the Owosso Junior High School and Owosso High School.

She was a devoted member of the First Congregational Church, where she filled many roles, including years as the clerk of the church, serving as a deaconess and leading the women of the church in their many activities. She also taught a new perspectives Bible class in cooperation with her husband.

In addition to her membership in the church, Louise was an active member of numerous organizations, providing leadership in the Owosso Education Association, Michigan Education Association, Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel, General Federation of Women’s Clubs, AAUW, Delta Kappa Gamma, Alpha Eta Chapter of Epsilon Sigma Omicron and Current Topics. She enjoyed gardening, theatrical and musical events and was a longtime

member of the Owosso Commu-

nity Players, having served on the board of directors during a transitional period in their development.

She was widely known for her ready smile, and her willingness to assist wherever possible. She loved people. She loved life, and she had an insatiable curiosity. Now she will get the answers to all those questions.

Louise is survived by her husband Kenneth; her children Mary Lynn (Raymond) DeVito, Joyce (Bruce) Curtis; grandchildren Rosemary DeVito, Christopher DeVito, Andrew (Joyce) DeVito, Jeremy (Heather) Curtis and Fiona (Rob) Crookston; four great grandchildren and many loving relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents and her sister.
