Age 81, of Lennon, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2019, at his home.

Funeral services will take place at 2 p.m. Monday, July 8, at Immanuel Baptist Church with the Rev. Jason Georges officiating. Burial will follow at Yerian Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Nelson-House Funeral Home from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday.

Doyle was born May 5, 1938, in Paragould, Arkansas, the son of Albert Jasper and Gladys (Hughes) Butler.

Doyle was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed woodworking, hunting and fishing. He looked forward to going to the cabin and wintering in Georgia and other states.

Left to cherish his memories are his children, Linda Butler, Shelia Carpenter and Marsha (Brad) Langley; stepchildren Dawn (Joel) Compton, Terry (Denise) Brown, Kirk (Teresa) Brown and Diane (Mike) Downs; 20 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; brother Johnny (Mildred) Butler; sister Sylvia Morrow; and many nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

He was predeceased by his wife Irene, son Doyle “Frank” Butler Jr., parents, two brothers and three sisters.

The family would like to thank Immanuel Baptist Church in Corunna for all their love and support.
