Age 87, of Owosso, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2019, at Hospice House of Shiawassee County.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate Delia’s life from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 25, at Nelson-House Funeral Home, Owosso Chapel.

Delia was born March 1, 1932, in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico, the daughter of Juan Olmeda and Ramona Arroyo. She attended the Nazarene Church. Delia enjoyed taking trips to the casinos throughout Michigan and also loved nature — looking out at the birds and deer in the yard. She retired from the Social Security office in Flint.

Delia is survived by her daughter Linda (Joe) Tomczak; granddaughters Lillian Kay (Bradley) Hunter and Megan Jo (Mark) Anderson; nephews Nicholas (Nellie) Shewalter, Johnny (Carmen) Bermudez, Raymond (Doris) Morales; niece Lucy (Dan) Hudson; many other loving family and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents; son Richard “Rick” Schell; a brother; and sisters Juanita Morales and Georgiana Shewalter.
