Age 79, passed away at Hospice House of Owosso, Saturday, May 11, 2019.

A memorial service for Mary will take place at 10:30 a.m.Saturday, June 1, at Community Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 951 East Riley Road. Light refreshments will be offered afterward.

To reach Community Church take M-52 north, 1 mile past Juddville Road to Riley Road. Turn right and go 1 mile east. Community Church is on the left on Hintz Road.

Mary was born April 12, 1940, to Alfred Harvey and Neva (Fries) Ehrke in Center Line. She attended school in both Owosso and Center Line, and graduated from Center Line High School in 1958.

On Jan. 24, 1963, she married Ralph Stamper. They had three children. Mary worked in retail as a cashier before retiring.

She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and embroidery work and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Mary is survived by her daughters Deborah (John) Lauro and Diane (William) Moore; grandchildren Jeremy Stamper, David Stamper, Kathryn Lauro, Amanda Stamper and Ralph Stamper III; as well as several great grandchildren.

She is also survived by brothers Donald Ehrke, Thomas (Liane) Ehrke and Robert (Debby) Ehrke; and many nieces and nephews.

Mary was predeceased by her ex-husband Ralph Stamper; son Ralph Stamper Jr.; brothers John Ehrke and Charles Ehrke; as well as her sisters-in-law Lillian Ehrke, Myra Ehrke, Nancy Ehrke and Caroline Ehrke.

Memorial contributions can be given to Hospice House of Owosso or to Community EPC designated for the mission’s fund.
