Heaven’s choir of angels continues growing as God called our loving mother home.

Nancy, daughter of Earl and Bessie (Johnson) Morgan was born March 19, 1933. She attended Owosso schools, graduating with the class of 1951.

On Jan. 18, 1953, she married the love of her life, Richard L. Beattie. She worked as a draftsman for General Telephone for several years before deciding to stay home and be a full-time wife and mother. She enjoyed singing and, along with Sweet Adelines, performed several seasons on the Chesaning Showboat and Owosso Community Players’ production of “The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas.”

Nancy and Dick looked forward to winters at Zephyr Colony in sunny Zephyrhills, Florida.

Heartfelt thanks to the caring staff of The Meadows for the tenderness and devotion they provided during her difficult struggle with dementia. The compassion they showed helped make this journey bearable.

Preceding her to heaven were her husband Richard “Dick,” and her parents Earl and Bessie Morgan.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Richard M. (Melissa) Beattie and Cindy (Mike) Martin; grandchildren and great-grandchildren Richie (Emily) and Echo Beattie, Jamie (Jennifer), Elisa and Ashton Beattie, Eric (Kristi), Hailey, Kyra and Dax Fowler, Matthew (Shana) Clayton, Matt, Demetri, Abby and Sebastin Beattie, Jeremy (Holly), Danika and Harmony Beattie, Stacey (Brian), Max and Myah Kelly, Shawnna (Dan), Calvin, Evan, Clark and Nora Cody, and Michael and Cameron Martin; and other loving family and friends.

Nancy was predeceased by her brothers and their wives Charles (Jeannette), Ross (Ann) and Harry (Kay) Morgan.

Memorial contributions are suggested to The Meadows.

Online condolences may be sent to the family at nelson-house.com.
