Age 97 of Owosso, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2019, at Hospice House of Mid-Michigan in Lansing.

Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Monday, July 8, at Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, Jennings-Lyons Chapel in Owosso, with a graveside in Deepdale Memorial Gardens in Lansing at 2:30 p.m.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 to 6 p.m.Sunday.

Esther was born Feb. 26, 1922, in Lansing to John and Eva (Frieseke) Snider. She married William Karlin in 1958 and he later passed away in 1971.

Esther worked many years at both Memorial Healthcare in admitting. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church in Owosso, where over the years she was a lay minister and sang in the choir. She was also very involved in extra-curricular activities at the Kona Villa.

Esther is survived by her son, Rodney (Debbie) Harmon of Gladwin; grandchildren James (Julie) Harmon, Terry (Kathy) Coombe, Casey (Elise) Bentley, Austin (Kyleigh) Harmon; great-grandchildren Scott “Scooter”, Katie “Peanut”, Despina “Turtle”; along with 11 very close nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Bill; brother Milford Snider; and sisters Dorthea Budd and Pauline Long.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions given in Esther’s name are suggested to Hospice House of Mid-Michigan. Online condolences may be shared with her family by going to watkinsfuneralhomes.com.
