Letter to the editor

Saturday night my wife and I were privileged to experience the stunning acting of Ethan Kohagen in Owosso Community Players’ performance of “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night.”

We had become instant fans of OCP when we first attended the Lebowsky Center to see “Mama Mia.” Owosso is fortunate to have so much high-level talent with such dedicated volunteer support. We’ve seen things there that could rival the Wharton Center at Michigan State University. Plus, the Lebowsky’s seats are more comfortable and the colors are just plain fun.

Saturday, we were prepared for the usual high standards. What we weren’t prepared for was a high school sophomore in a difficult role completely blowing us away with his skill. It’s a serious, heavy play. But I hope even those who are not especially fond of theater will take the opportunity to see something thrilling happening on stage.
