OWOSSO — Women from First Church of Christ, 585 E. North S. are welcoming women from the community to a full day of encouragement, inspiration, fellowship and praise at the church March 23 for their annual women’s celebration.

The program will begin at 10 a.m. Lunch will be served at noon and the program will conclude about 4 p.m. Child care will be available.

Early registration by March 16 is $25 or pay $30 at the door; students are $15. Make checks payable to Women’s Celebration and mail to First Church of Christ, 585 E. North St., Owosso.

The featured speaker is Shelly Larson from Lansing. She has a passion to help others discover the treasure of God’s word through one-to-one discipleship, small group leading and teaching at women’s retreats and events.

She champions the coaching ministry at her home church, the Lansing campus of 2/42 Community Church.

Music will be interspersed throughout the day. In the morning, Owosso Musicale will sing. Leading in praise and worship in the afternoon will be women from Owosso’s First Church of Christ: Angela Partridge and a trio, Jesus and Me.

Partridge since she was a young child. She grew up singing with her family in her church choir and doing songs during services and singing with praise teams. She is a nurse at Memorial Healthcare. She and her husband Bruce and their sons Gavin and Ethan reside in Owosso.

The Jesus and Me trio members are Marlena Harvey, Brenda Lab and Jan Oliver. The group has been together for 21 years and has performed on many occasions in Owosso and surrounding areas. They all sing and play instruments.

Oliver plays guitar. Lab plays piano and wash board. Harvey plays guitar and violin as well as several other instruments.
