ELSIE — Ovid-Elsie High School is hosting a 3-on-3 basketball tournament Sunday in memory of former basketball standout Carson Vincent.

Games will start at 9 a.m. and there are 73 teams.

Vincent, a former two-time Argus-Press All-Area Player of the Year, took his own life in September 2018 due to mental illness. Funds generated from the tournament will to his scholarship fund through the Shiawassee Community Foundation.

The Carson James Vincent Memorial Fund is available to Ovid-Elsie High School seniors planning to attend college or trade school. Students must have participated in high school athletics and have a letter of recommendation from an Ovid-Elsie coach.
