WINNIPEG, Manitoba — New Lothrop alumnus Amari Coleman has been released by the Canadian Football League’s Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

The team announced the move Saturday as the Bombers cut down their roster following the second preseason game. Coleman had started Winnipeg’s first preseason game and made four tackles.

Coleman signed with Winnipeg in January after being released by the Detroit Lions and Tampa Bay Buccaneers during the 2018 NFL season. He went undrafted in the NFL after starring at Central Michigan.
