DURAND — The Byron girls golf team had a record-setting day in winning the first MMAC golf meet of the season.

Greta L’Esperance shot a personal-best 86 to earn medalist honors, while MaryAnn Montgomery shot a 92, another personal best, to finish third.

The Eagles finished first with a school-record score of 384. Durand was second at 416, led by Emma Lantis. She shot a 91 to pace the Railroaders, who finished second.

Chesaning shot 490 to finish third. Taylor Gross led the Indians with a 98.
