VETS TREATED TO PHEASANT HUNT

Muzzy Pheasant Farm in Caledonia Township, in partnership with United Way of Genesee County, hosted a free pheasant hunt for 14 veterans on Nov. 11. The veterans came from throughout Michigan and represented the Army, Navy and Marines. The day opened with coffee, doughnuts and a snowstorm. The men were treated to a free traditional ground hunt behind Muzzy’s guide dogs. A catered lunch was also served and the veterans got a chance to reminisce about their experiences and exchanged names and phone numbers. Sport Dog Salon, located on the premises at Muzzy Pheasant Farm, also offered a free dog groom to dogs that participated in the hunt.
